The centre of Morzine is a few minutes away and can be reached via shuttles. Our holiday home is closer to Avoriaz, making it ideal for eager skiers wanting direct ski-lift access.

Avoriaz Ski Resort
The ski resort is located in the Portes du Soleil ski area and is bordered by the towns of Morzine and Avoriaz. The ski resort has an altitude of 1,800 metres and is situated between two mountain ranges, the Chablais and the Aravis. At this altitude, visitors can enjoy some of the best snow conditions in the region, allowing them to explore the wide variety of slopes and trails. The ski resort offers a variety of winter and summer activities, in addition to the spectacular natural beauty of the Swiss Alps. Both Alpine Creek Chalet and the ski resort are surrounded by lush pine forests, crystal-clear lakes, and alpine meadows. The peaks of the Chablais and Aravis mountain ranges are visible from the ski resort and provide a magnificent backdrop for a holiday.
Getting Around
Alpine Creek Chalet is conveniently located near both Morzine and Avoriaz. Morzine can be reached by utilising the shuttles in the area, which run into the town of Morzine. The ski lifts at Avoriaz are walking (or skiing) distance, and you have the option to ski-in ski-out from the holiday home during the winter snow season.
Best time to Visit
For avid skiers, the best time to visit Avoriaz Ski Resort is during the winter months, from December to early April. This is when the ski season is in full swing, thanks to generous snow, and the resort is bustling with activities. During the winter, you’ll be able to take advantage of the excellent ski runs and other winter activities offered by the Resort. The resort is just as popular during the summer, especially in July and August, with plenty of summer activities like mountain bike trails and pump tracks, swimming and paddle boarding at the lake, tennis, golf, mountain climbing, and hiking trails on offer. If you’d rather avoid the crowds and take advantage of the lower prices, you could visit in the spring or autumn months to experience the local cuisine, culture, nightlife, and more, offered by the popular towns of Morzine and Avoriaz.
