Skiing Avoriaz

Avoriaz offers a Ski Resort like no other. This picturesque French haven located in the Haute-Savoie region is the perfect destination for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The peak winter season in Avoriaz is usually from December to April, while the peak summer season is June to September. With a plethora of slopes and pistes, winter activities, and summer activities, Avoriaz has something to offer all year round.

The ski slopes at Avoriaz cater to beginners as well as advanced skiers. For beginners, Avoriaz offers nursery slopes next to the resort, while Morzine has gentle slopes at Le Pleney. Green, blue, and red pistes that cater to different levels of skiing-skill, from beginner to advanced. For experienced skiers who have the nerve, Avoriaz features the Jean Vuarnet World Cup Downhill Run. There are also over 20 black runs for expert skiers. The ski school is located close to Alpine Creek at Avoriaz, and welcomes people of all ages, including kids.

After-Ski Activities in Avoriaz

Après-ski is a French term translating to “after ski” and refers to the social activities and entertainment that take place after a day of skiing. La Folie Douce is a great place to stop on your way back from a day of skiing because it's conveniently located on the slopes at the higher end of the resort. This is the ultimate Apres ski destination, featuring two restaurants, a bar, a VIP area, and a shop that caters to all types of clientele, including families, the youngsters, as well as an older crowd.

This is the perfect lunch spot on a sunny day, as you can watch the atmosphere develop from lunchtime to the start of Apres at 3 pm. In the afternoons, live music and crowds create a great atmosphere for drinking and dancing outside in a stunning location. You will be enticed to stay till the end of Apres at 6 pm. Clubbing starts at 3 pm, both indoor and outdoor. The huge central bar, DJs, and live music combine to make La Folie Douce the ultimate Apres ski entertainment. The shows have something for all ages, including deep-house and dinner music, with more intense electro beats later in the afternoon. Main Areas at La Folie Douce

La Fruitière - a gourmet restaurant with a diverse menu of well-crafted meals created with fresh Savoie and Swiss ingredients. Lunch is provided on the sun patio or indoors in a modern and stylish setting beginning at 12 pm. In the evening, the space takes on a more intimate atmosphere. La Petite Cuisine is a canteen-style restaurant serving a variety of simple, delicious dishes. No reservation is required, so pop in here for a more casual dining experience. Perched above the crowd, Le Balcon is the centre of the party. The Balcony is the designated VIP area, providing you with a front-row seat to the show from a comfortable lounge area, and access to a special menu.

Restaurants Morzine

The Dixie Bar

This venue combines three bars that each resemble a different country: an Irish pub that serves real Guinness beer and entertains with live music, a Spanish tapas bar that serves San Miguel, and a British pub where patrons can watch Sky Sports and play pool. The Dixie Bar is a classic Morzine bar, offering a range of drinks, music and entertainment. This is the perfect place to grab a beer and catch up with friends after a long day on the slopes.

The Cavern Bar

Located right in the centre of Morzine, this bar offers dancing and a range of drinks at reasonable prices. This is both the perfect spot for after-dinner entertainment or kicking off a great evening with happy hour specials.

La Grange

For a more upscale evening, La Grange is the place to go. This chic restaurant offers a range of delicious dishes, specialising in local food, including snail parcels, wild boar stew, and duck shepherd's pie, as well as a great selection of wines. L'Atelier, Hôtel Le Samoyède

Le Tavaillon

Le Tavaillon is another top restaurant in Avoriaz, specialising in traditional French cuisine. La Kinkerne
